Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using Subscription Ledger (the “Service”), which provides cancellation-difficulty information and subscription spending management, as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and the Service.

Article 2 (Definitions)

• “Service” means the web application that lets users record and manage their subscription spending and view cancellation-difficulty information.
• “User” means a member who uses the Service under these Terms.
• “Cancellation-difficulty database” means information on the relative difficulty of cancelling particular subscriptions, compiled from user reports and our own research.

Article 3 (Effect and amendment of these Terms)

These Terms take effect when posted within the Service or otherwise announced. We may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law. Any amendment will be announced at least 7 days in advance, stating the effective date and the reason (at least 30 days in advance for changes unfavourable to users).

Article 4 (Provision and modification of the Service)

• Recording subscription spending and viewing monthly / yearly / 10-year totals
• Browsing and searching the cancellation-difficulty database
• Renewal reminders (3 days and 1 day before billing)
• Sharing cancellation experience reports between users (crowdsourcing)

We may change all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons, and will announce such changes in advance.

Article 5 (Suspension of the Service)

We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, replacement of equipment, national emergencies, or other events beyond our control. Where advance notice is possible, we will provide it.

Article 6 (Membership registration)

You apply for membership by entering an email address and password following the procedure set by the Service, and membership is completed when we accept the application. We may refuse an application, or later terminate the agreement, in the following cases:

• Where you applied using another person's information
• Where you provided false information
• Where registering you as a member would otherwise significantly impede the operation of the Service

Article 7 (Withdrawal and loss of membership)

You may request to close your account at any time through the Service settings or by email, and we will process it immediately. If you breach these Terms or interfere with the normal operation of the Service, we may terminate the agreement or restrict your use of the Service.

Article 8 (Protection of personal information)

We endeavour to protect your personal information as required by applicable law. Details of collection, use, and storage are governed by the separately posted Privacy Policy.

Article 9 (Obligations of the operator)

We will not engage in acts prohibited by law or these Terms, or contrary to public morals, and will endeavour to provide the Service continuously and reliably. Cancellation-difficulty information and user reports within the Service are for reference only; actual cancellation procedures and outcomes may change as each provider changes its policies.

Article 10 (Obligations of users)

• You must provide accurate information at sign-up and keep it up to date.
• You must not provide or share your account credentials with third parties.
• Cancellation experience reports must be based on fact; you must not post false information or unfounded defamation of any company.
• You must not use the Service for acts prohibited by law or these Terms, such as abuse, interference with the Service, or misuse of another person's information.

Article 11 (Copyright and restrictions on use)

Copyright and intellectual property rights in content created by the Service (the cancellation-difficulty database, UI design, logos, and so on) belong to the operator. You may not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, or broadcast information obtained through the Service, or allow third parties to use it, without our prior consent.

You retain copyright in reports and posts you write. However, you are deemed to consent to our using them within the Service (in aggregated, summarised, or statistical form) to operate the Service and improve the cancellation-difficulty database.

Article 12 (Disclaimer)

• Cancellation-difficulty scores and user reports are reference information only and do not guarantee any particular cancellation outcome.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of subscription details you enter yourself, which may differ from the amounts actually billed.
• We are not liable for service disruption caused by natural disasters, force majeure, or reasons attributable to the user.
• We are under no obligation to intervene in disputes between users, or between a user and a third party (such as a subscription provider), and are not liable for any resulting damages.

Article 13 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These Terms and any dispute between the Service and a user are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and any action shall be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

Addendum

These Terms take effect on August 2, 2026.
